My Therapeutic Approach
If you are struggling with anxiety, stress, worry, a sense of hopelessness or helplessness or something else that stops you in your tracks, then this means you already know how frustrating this feels.
When you can’t see a way forward, and it feels like nothing is going to get any better, and then the old self-talk kicks in, it’s hard to get out of thinking that you are stuck in a pit, or you’re on a merry-go-round of ‘here we go again’.
And here’s the thing…you don’t know what you don’t know. There are techniques and strategies I can help you with, that can instantly change how you feel, change how you behave and immediately improve the results that you get when communicating with yourself and with others.
Let’s face it; if you’ve never been shown or taught these, then how would you ever know how to behave yourself out of a problem without help? The facts are – you can’t. Something HAS to change.
My clients are heard and helped, and then embedding these new techniques with hypnosis helps embrace a different, more empowering way of thinking and behaving, even faster.
The fact that you are reading this says you already have awareness that SOMETHING has to change. Well done. That’s the first step – Awareness.
The second step is to make a Decision. You get to Decide that creating a positive change is necessary, it matters to you, and you know deep down it’s now that the change must happen.
When we connect, I like to make it very clear that you and I are having a judgement-free, confidential conversation.
As we speak together, this is where I discover your big challenge or major problem – the one you desire help with. I ask you some questions – and these questions may, or may not, feel challenging at times.
The purpose of the questions is it helps to identify the skills gap and the ‘thinking’ gap, I then guide you to develop the solutions and answers for. I show you what to do instead.
I explain what I notice and what I recommend going forward. I support you and help you through your fears and concerns.
Put it this way; if you don’t learn better ways to do things, and better ways to think and manage your own self-talk, then you might feel better in the short term by having a conversation with someone, but nothing will sustain for you if you have not been taught new strategies to replace the ‘old way’ with.
This is why I believe it is important to educate and show you some positively life-enhancing techniques and strategies that will help you move forward. When we embed these into your hypnosis session, this means you experience faster uptake, making the new skills simpler to adopt and use beyond our session.
You are given a recording of the hypnosis session, for you to listen to at home for a recommended number of days between our sessions.
Dependent on the conditions you present when we speak, most clients discover 3, 5 or 7 sessions are ideal for resolving their problems.
